Easter in some ways is a bigger festival here than Christmas and certainly celebrated with more enthusiasm ecclesiastically. Easter festivals, markets, music concerts, vigils, parties and elaborate masses all feature and people decorate their houses with easter rabbits, yellow streamers and painted eggs; some of which are shown above at an Easter market in Freyung square.
